There's a defining moment when you find the home that is right for you. I feel complete when I see that dream come true. The joy I receive through a buyer or seller getting to the finish line, is my aim. When you maneuver through the real estate process you need someone that can sort through the clutter and find the best route. I do this knowing that strategic thinking becomes key. It’s not a skill that can be taught, it’s a way of thinking and my personal perspective on the world at large.
I also encourage a deepening of my relationship with clients. I want to understand your feelings, goals and fears because for me, a relationship has value only if it is genuine. I also understand that performance is a yardstick. I need to outperform and do more than others or the accomplishment of reaching my goal feels hollow. Excellence, not average is my measure. I want to capitalize on my strengths and the strengths of others. It is more fun, more productive and counter-intuitively, it’s more demanding.
Communication is key as well. I like to describe, to host, to speak in public and to write. To me ideas are a dry beginning and I have to bring them to life and energize them. When you are ready to sell, it’s an idea and I feel compelled to turn it into a story and make the idea vivid for potential buyers. I want to enliven it with images and examples of what memories could be made just as you have made them. People have a short attention span (usually). They are bombarded by information, but little can survive. That’s why I want my information, whether an idea, an event, or a product’s features and benefits – to survive. I want to divert attention to your product and give someone something to capture so they can lock it in. It’s what drives my hunt for the perfect phrase. To pique interest, sharpen words and inspire others to ACT.
